I can't be the only one who dreams in colour, who sees the world through rose tinted glasses. From a young age I believed in fairytales and hoped that one day I would turn from 'cinders' into 'Cinderella' and be the Princess I had always dreamed of becoming. I yearned for a new beginning where the past remained firmly in the past and I could be free to live in the present. I was infatuated with the idea of being able to create my own fantasies, governed by own desires and needs. That is largely where my love for occasion wear stems from; I could never afford fancy gowns growing up and as soon as I saved up enough money I brought a beautiful red ballgown that was on sale in TK Maxx and fell ... read more

How To Create A Capsule Wardrobe With Aquascutum
I have never been one to follow trends or plea to 'buy' every designer bag going because ultimately I am a high street girl at heart. I live in Primark, Topshop and Miss Selfridge with the occasional 'Zara' buy but that dosen't mean that I don't like designer clothing, because I do. I have never been in a position where I would be able to 'afford' a designer bag because every penny, every pound that I work for is spent on rent, bills and travel. It would not be an exaggeration to say that I struggle with finances most months because my income fluctuates but I have always dreamt of having enough money to afford labels like Ellie Saab (haute couture gown realness) , Valentino (floral mania) ... read more
Summer Party Venue Ideas
Welcome to Faded Spring's Summer Party Venue Ideas Guide, your one stop shop for all things summer. There is nothing I love better than to feel the sea breeze on my skin and feel the gentle waves lapping at my toes. But for some, going to the beach is inconvenient and at times a 'hyped-up reality', after all does anyone really love the feel of squelchy sand? Okay well maybe I do but I digress, you might love going to the beach but last time I attempted throwing a beach party, I got told off and noone likes a frowny authority officer yelling in their face. Plus not to mention feeling sticky and frying in the heat is not my idea of fun and I would much rather go swimming but for some that just ... read more
The Quest For The Perfect Statement Necklace
Twas the night before Christmas and the world was silent, not even the scurrying mouse could interrupt. Wrapped under the Christmas tree were presents galore, full of splendor and joy. As I ripped the parcel open out fell a thing of beauty, a statement necklace dripping in jewels. The jewels caught the light in a dazzling riot of colour, greens, purples and grays too. For it was the night before Christmas and mama was a'cooking, the kettle was a'boiling and the presents were unwrapping. No present too big or small, it was just right mama bear would say. But it was the statement necklace that caught my eye, a present fit for the Queens on their golden thrones. I remember the queens of my ... read more

Watches. Crisp, clean cut, elegant, the ultimate epitome of sophistication. No two watches are the same but it takes a 'good watch' to change up the 'game'. Don't know what I mean by the game? Well the fashion game of course; what outfit is complete without a watch to set you apart from the rest of the 'style wannabees'? The whole world races through life, the swift tick of their watch documenting their every move and capturing it in the imprint of time. Ever heard of JORD watches? Well guess what their ... read more
Discovering The ‘Facial’ Truth At Sinensis London
Sinensis had achieved the impossible; placated me into a state of calm that I thought only sleep could achieve and boy was I in heaven. It all began one crisp summers day, the clouds were settling and the traffic was in motion and as I came towards my destination of 'facial truth' I felt an incredible calm aura wash over me like holy water from a fountain. As I took my seat a delicious caffeine free tisane of 'Amachazuru' was offered to me in greeting, blending a delicious combination of herbs and licorice to taste. Known as the 'Immortality Grass', it was no hyperbole to state that I could feel the blood pumping through my veins, very much reminding me that I was alive and kicking. Not that ... read more
Duchess London & The ‘Hepburn’ Mystique
The 60's was known as the 'Golden era' of Hollywood, characterized by film icons Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, whose mysterious 'allure' and magnetic attraction led to them being the most highly paid and notorious actresses that Hollywood has ever produced. Whilst Marilyn died an untimely death in 1962, Audrey continued working in films until 1989, before devoting her last years to a lifelong dream of promoting humanitarian causes and to many was seen as the epitome of 'natural grace and beauty'.. For many Audrey was an iconic actress with a voice of an angel and to others Audrey inspired them to be 'great' and help those less fortunate than themselves but to many Audrey was a fashion ... read more
House Festival With Samsung & Three
In a rare sunny spell, Marble Hill was bathed in a soft golden glow, where the gentle rays of forgotten sunshine was beginning to pull through. Festival goers clambered into open fields, eager to enter the excitement that would engulf them beyond the tents, while the sun deepened into hazy euphoria. As a guest of Samsung and Three, I was escorted straight to the tents before being ushered into the growing crowds that awaited House Festival. It was magical; like a scene set in a Midsummer's Night Dream rainbow streamers swung merrily overhead, the gentle caress of the wind like a balm to the sunshine's warmth. The zest of the festival goers was infectious, the laughter and cheers ringing in ... read more
May Recap
The last three months seem to be echoing each other because I seem to say the same thing every month and that is 'I am exhausted' and unable to post as much as I would like to. My followers will note that since March/April I have been able to post consistently which has largely affected my following and traffic and there is nothing I can do about it. I work so hard to earn a living and because I can't make enough money on my blog I am forced to work multiple jobs to generate some form of income. Alongside my role as a blogger I am a social media executive, copywriter, freelance journalist and an advertiser/promoter for various brands; I often work 12 -14 hour days before heading to either an ... read more
