    Why I Love Blogging

    Is it weird that I get ridiculously excited about receiving blogger mail? That after a long hard day at work all I want is to curl up with my blogger goodies and pretend the world doesn't exist. I think I am not alone when I say that 'real life' is boring and 'blogging' is my escapism. The truth is we all do jobs that we hate to keep our lives afloat but its ok. When the world is asleep we sit at our keyboards and speak our truths, marvel at the entrepreneurs we have become.     Change Is Good Part II

    Read Change Is Good Change is always good right? At least that is what I was telling myself after seeing everything I loved crumble right before me. On the outside my blog still looked the same, still attracted views and ranked highly on Google. But to me it didn't look good enough, I was becoming increasingly frustrated with Wix's limited coding which prevented me from running ads, giveaways or even making the site semi-accessible.     Mani-Pedi: Boutique Spa

    This might come as a bit of a shock to you but  I have never had a mani/pedi before. Sure I have had my nails painted but not once have I treated my hands and tootsies to their own 'me time'. So I knew that something had to change and luckily Boutique Spa were opening a new branch in Fitzrovia and were all too pleased to give my hands and feet the love and attention that they needed. I was cautious at first; you may remember me visiting the Queensway branch for my Boutique Spa: Microdemabrasion treatment which was far from perfect.     They say the best dreams are those that we work the hardest for and I agree ; since I was sixteen I dreamed of seeing my own little slice of journalistic heaven that would be as colourful and as thought provoking as I believed my character to be. When I finally plucked up the courage to create my own site last summer it was like a lightbulb had gone off in my mind and I knew that my future had been rewritten.       There is something so magical about a splash of colour. When others see our world in black and white I see strokes of colour, bursting through my peripheral vision like a hunter targeting its prey. In colour there is hope and in hope is peace and harmony.     November Recap

    Considering I only blogged 13 days in November and had been inactive for a whole month as I was building my new site my blog did astoundingly well. Not only did I get nominated for my third award, but my blog views tripled, my social following increased and I was contacted by a record breaking amount of brands including two of the biggest brands in the world right now. It is mind blowing how everything has come together and while there is still so much work to do- I am a perfectionist I am never satisfied- I am happy that my hard work and graft is paying off.     Lets face it, winter is hardly the season to get excited about sleeveless jumpsuits or dresses, especially when its minus 5 degrees outside and the cold is making your nipples stick out.     It seems like only yesterday that I started blogging; becoming a blogger was an unfulfilled dream of mine that I knew would be the stepping stone to a bigger and brighter future. Sure I was academic and book smart but I knew that I was creative too and I wanted to share that passion with the whole world.
