There was no snowfall this year, only the pitter patter of rain lashing out at the window, gnarled tree branches twisting in the wind, gusts of air howling, begging to be heard. Jasmine peered out of her window in dismay, it was bad enough that 2020 had reared it’s ugly head, but now the weather had to be s***tty to boot? Not on her watch she exclaimed, an idea forming rapidly as she paced. She would become their very own Santa, a vegan christmas gift in the making, showering them in cruelty free kisses and adoration, even when they couldn’t meet.
They were seperated by stretches of land and sea but that wouldn’t stop Jasmine from giving her loved ones the best vegan Christmas that they could have ever dreamed of. She would Skype with them as they opened their presents, and raise a virtual toast to a happier year ahead. They would laugh joyfully into the night, decked out in their most hideous festive jumpers, sending novelty gifts from afar.
She was determined, in spite of this year’s obstacles to have a very merry vegan christmas, and she knew what would give her loved ones peace of mind, what would turn their frown upside down. For 2020 was a year of surprises, but her being Santa wasn’t one of them. Ever since she was little she loved watching other people’s faces light up in glee, almost hugging herself with excitment at their reaction.
For this might be a Christmas like no other, but Jasmine wasn’t going to let that stop her from procuring vegan delights. She delved into the glitter ball and plucked out vegan gifts that waltzed around the room like there was no tomorrow. Glorious Marshall & Brown rum truffles toyed with the tip of her tongue in a sensous dance, as Tattinger Brut Reserve NV came alive for one night only. Guests drank merrily under the Christmas tree that sparkled with mermaid lights, while cheesy Christmas songs came on the stereo as they sang out of tune.
But they were having fun. Despite being in a pandemic they learned how to adapt, taking zoom calls with loved ones who could not join them, and playing drinking games online. They sent love letters and friendship notes, delivered care packages with a smile to boot. Miss Corona wasn’t about to stop their Christmas cheer, and Jasmine was determined to show 2020 who was boss.
And thus the ultimate vegan christmas gift guide was born, as Jasmine mulled over the vegan treats that would make her way to her loved ones, signed, sealed and delivered with love. She would create vegan wine and cheese night care packages, squealing with joy, The Jenkyn Place Rose 2014, paired with Bath Culture House’s garlic and herb chease. It was a rioutous explosion of taste, a dry elegant sparkling wine strutting in a rose pink dress, taunting the creamy richness of the vegan chease with her seductive good looks.
She had all bases covered; from vegan gift ideas for couples to vegan food and drink, cruelty free skincare and beauty right through to must have vegan stocking fillers, sleighing veganism never felt so good. And so the ultimate vegan christmas gift guide was born, she had found a gift for everyone. There were gifts for the hard to please and the vegan naysayers. There were novelty gifts and the sentimentalities.
But most of all there was love, wrapped in a shiny red bow…
Vegan Food And Drink
Anyone who knew Jasmine would laugh at how she liked to munch, and being a vegan was no exception. At night she would dream about vegan cakes swathed in oreo delight, while a vegan cheezboard begged to be vanquished. She’d feast on succulent strawberries washed down with personalized champagne from ‘Say it with Champers’, the bubbles fizzing playfully on her tongue, the fire crackling with warmth.
There would be many nights where she’d take time out to date herself, spending me time the best way she knew how. Bubble baths with a face mask as she nibbled on heavenly caffeine free and vegan chocolate from Super Treats that were oh so moerish. Dance workouts to Cardi B and Doja Cat, washed down with an energizing dose of Remedy Coconut Water Kefir. And Christmas was going to be just as spectacular,
Sweet Treats
Jasmine loved how Christmas gave her an excuse to eat whatever the f**k she wanted, and she lived for it. She loved the vegan mince pies dusted in sugar and the vegan gingerbread cookies that reminded her of the Shrek movies. She adored the rum and coconut snowballs that were delectable and sweet and hankered after vegan Baileys chocolate cream parfaits that would be gone in one bite.
Luckily, she knew one brand that would make all her vegan christmas gift dreams come true in one fellow swoop…
The Treehouse Bakery
In came The Treehouse Bakery in a cloud of oreos, cream and chocolate, a bakers box with a difference. For this indulgent 100% plant based bakers box was a treasure trove where sweet treats dined and lived, in a cake kingdom where happiness is the dish of the day. It was a bakers box that would help her become a better baker, with wet and dry ingredients that would save her leaving home. Best of all each recipe box was so easy to follow, that she thought she had gone on the Great British Bake Off overnight, and gurl was she livin’.
There were biscoff blondies to satisfy her sugar cravings and gooey chocolate brownies that danced on a bed of Wonka’s delight. A chocolate oreo cake captivated her imagination as she revelled in its wicked ways, while a vegan gingerbread cottage was breathtakingly festive, served with hot chocolate and vegan marshmallows. She’d felt like she had won the golden ticket that night, did she dream that she could bake?
But as night crept into morning and the sun rose once more, she realized that her dream was an actuality and she sighed with bliss. So she crammed slices of oreo cake, fluffy as a cloud into her mouth in unadulterated glee, doing her bit for the animals who thanked her with a smile. She gave herself a pat on the back for doing her bit for the environment too, as each bakers box came in recyclable and compostable packaging. She felt like an eco goddess who had taken on the world and won. She had to share this Xmas cheer with others too.
Her friends were just a zoom call away and they shouted out with glee. Affordable, plant based and indulgent? They couldn’t believe their eyes, mesmerized at the lavish sight that lay before them. Christmas wreaths glazed with love, oreo cake crumbs on greedy lips, washed down with a festive tipple that made their heart soar. They came together as one, dreaming a bakers box dream. It was bliss.

Marshall & Brown
An award winning chocolatier was next to tickle Jasmine’s taste buds, vegan gourmet Jamaican rum truffles made using heavenly chocolate ganache. She bit into a morsel delicately savouring the explosion of chocolate in her mouth, dark chocolate infused with a Jamaican rum from a long-established distiller.
For this was no ordanairy chocolatier but Marshall & Brown, who were renowned for transporting their customers to the tropics, authentic Jamaican ingredients in every mouthful. Every truffle she popped in her mouth, felt like it had been caressed with love, the dark chocolate and rum complementing each other delightfully in balance, it was a foodgasm ingrained in culture.
Before she knew it, the truffles had disappeared just like that, and she knew what she must do. So she placed several orders, and wrapped up her truffles in festive wrapping paper, personalizing each gift with a handmade card and note, expressing her love and admiration for her loved ones, with a kiss and a smile. She felt content, her work here was done. But could she resist another one?

The Jerk House
Jasmine had fallen in love with Marshall & Brown and knew that she couldn’t leave the site without another goodie to add to her Vegan Christmas gift guide. It was ‘ The Jerk House Red Pepper Sauce’ that caught her eye, captioned as being ‘the real taste of Jamaica’. She longed for its authentic taste, craved the exotic blend of Jamaican herbs and spices that would retain that Carribean twist.
She sprinkled red pepper sauce carefully at first, gently dribbling it over a simple rice and peas dish to catch its flavour. Oh boy was it divinity, the spices tickling her tongue in a rapturous dance, the crushed red pepper sauce igniting passion. It was spicy, true, but the cane sugar balanced out the spices, lending a slight sweetness to the sauce that made her want more, more, more.
She loved that The Jerk House sauce range allowed her to give something a little different this Christmas, a vegan Christmas gift that could be used all year round. She knew her boyfriend, a fan of all things spice would adore this crushed red pepper sauce and she couldn’t wait to see his face light up with unadulterated happiness. It would be a welcome addition to his spice cupboard she thought out loud.

Farhi
No sweet treat would be complete without a chocolate gift set Jasmine decried and what could be better than Farhi and their ‘vegan friendly collection’? She ran her hand down the signature nine-way gift box, a selection of premium Medjool dates, stuffed with delicious, unique, luxurious fillings that begged to be explored. Dipped in silky dark chocolate, she felt her mouth watering at the thought.
She was never a massive dark chocolate fan but lo and behold did these fillings bring the chocolate covered dates alive. There were zesty orange peels, premium belgian chocolate, as well as a wonderful selection of nuts; boasting premium pistachios, crunchy cashews, the finest Californian almonds and Persian walnuts. It was a feast for the senses, she was pratically salivating with every bite.
A truly decadent gift, she knew that this would be a treat for her Aunt, who not only loved dates, but also sweet treats too. This sumptuous selection would titiliate her senses in an explosion of taste, and become a stunning table centrepiece for any special occasion if she so desired. What’s more, this luxury gift box would be perfectly balanced out with sea salt and black pepper peanuts from Farhi too!

Supertreats
Jasmine couldn’t believe that Supertreats were actually vegan, astounded by the delicious creamy carob bars that tasted just as yummy as chocolate bars but were much better for you. Made to the finest Swiss-quality standards and sweetened with rich coconut sugar, their melt-in-the-mouth texture and insanely delicious taste means they’re like no other carob chocolate bars – guaranteed!
Even now she craved its smooth taste, an addictive yet healthier alternative to chocolate that sent her wild. With only 100% natural organic ingredients, she felt placated knowing that that this was a vegan Christmas gift that was also refined sugar free, gluten free and soya free.
Best of all, unlike conventional and raw chocolate, Supertreats carob chocolate bars contained no caffeine or theobromine, which Jasmine knew could be highly disruptive to her body and mind, especially when she was trying to sleep. She sampled a taste of the Almond Hazelnut Crunch Carob Chocolate first, a rich caramel taste that released its energy slowly, allowing her to feel content for longer.
And who could forget the Silky Smooth Mylk Carob Bar that teased her so playfully, wrapped in sustainable, plastic free packaging? She felt good knowing that she was not only choosing a vegan christmas gift that was good for her body but also the environment too. After all, as a part time mermaid, she always wanted to give back to nature and show her love and adoration as much as she could.

Savoury Delights
Jasmine’s sweet tooth had been quenched and she craved a savoury vegan palete cleanser. She searched low and high to find the creamiest, most saucy savoury delights in the land and boy was she pleased as punch when she found them. They sought her out with a hand written note, begging for her to bite into their savoury hearts. There were vegan cheeses that surprised her with their authentic taste and vegan popcorn bites that nestled right at home in her mouth. She was in heaven and she intended for it to stay that way.
Applewood and Ilchester
Jasmine knew that she was in for a sumptous surprise when she was confronted with the news that Ilchester and Applewood had brought back their Vegan festive cheese selection and boy was she right. She could hardly believe that she was eating vegan cheese, when the cheeses were so creamy, so moerish and were packed full of flavour that made her heart sing.
Featuring the multi-award winning Applewood Vegan, and three new flavours including Mexicana Vegan Spicy Cheese , New Ilchester Melting Mature Cheddar Vegan, and New Ilchester Blue Vegan Cheese Alternative(with blue spirulina vein), she was in vegan cheese heaven. As far as any vegan Christmas gift goes, this cheezboard was pretty high at the top of her wishlist.
Made with coconut base and fortified with vitamin B12 and calcium, the Norseland’s vegan cheese was even produced in an allergen-free plant-based dedicated factory, and she loved them for it. They claimed that it tasted as good as a traditional cheese Christmas board, so she had to try it out for herself. Could it be the one that she really wanted? Her scores were in, it was 10’s, 10’s, 10’s across the board.
Could she convince her non-vegan or non-vegetarian loved ones to try out the vegan cheezboard? They were reluctant at first, claiming-as she had done so in the past- that ‘vegan cheese could never be a substitute’ for ‘real cheese’. But could they dare to dream and be proven wrong? The blue vegan cheese had a mild stilton tang, that wasn’t overpowering, delightfully paired with plum chutney.
The melting mature cheddar took a while to kick in, but its mild taste soon came through when paired with crackers. But no vegan ‘cheezboard’ would be complete without the vegan favourite Mexicana vegan spicy cheese, enriched with powerful spice that would lend a kick to any festive vegan Christmas cheeseboard. Out of the three this was by far our favourite.

Popcorn Shed
Jasmine always associated ‘popcorn’ with movies, and what better time of year to have a movie marathon than at Christmas, snuggling in warm cozy blankets, in fluffy dressing gowns. There would be ‘The Grinch’ and ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’, and no festive season would be complete without Love Actually. It was all shaping up nicely, but there was one thing missing. Popcorn of course!
Her day was saved when Popcorn Shed charged in, armed full of savoury and sweet snacks that would titiliate her tastebuds. She knew that this was meant to be the ‘savoury section’ but come on, can’t you have both? And so she browsed through the night, curating her selection of vegan popcorn snacks that would make Christmas a very jolly and merry event.
When it came to vegan snacks, she wanted something simple, yet packed full of flavour, that would make a welcome addition to her vegan Christmas Gift Guide. So wasn’t she charmed when she had a taste of the Sea Salted Mini Pop!® Vegan Mini Popcorn, such dainty little parcels that were seasoned with perfection? And what about the Salt and Vinegar Mini Pop!® Vegan Mini Popcorn that had such a light and zingy flavour, blessed with being only 100 calories per pack? She was sold, hook, line and sinker.
She couldn’t resist chucking a few sweet popcorn treats into her vegan Christmas gift bundle either, with Butterscotch to sate her sweet tooth. Not only was it deliciously sweet with a rich butterscotch flavour, but it was also hard to believe it was vegan! She also swooned at their vegan toffee popcorn too, the first in the UK. Light and airy, but highly addictive, Popcorn Shed was truly revolutionizing the vegan popcorn game.

Soft Drinks & Non Alcoholic Drinks
As she pondered over her vegan Christmas gift wishlist, she knew what she needed to procure next, a selection of soft drinks that would whet her appetite. She would quench her thirst with coconut water kefir and marvel at the wonders of alcohol free chardonnay, marvelling at a tipple that replicated a true sparkling wine’s taste. Most of all she would sit there content, supping away at the finest soft drinks with a smile.
Jasmine was a fan of all things that were colourful and Remedy Drinks were no exception with their Remedy Rainbow Pack. Bursting with colour and packed with flavour, she couldn’t wait to share the secret with the world. With kombucha enjoying a meteoric rise in popularity , Jasmine knew that their rainbow collection would be ideal for the Christmas season, offering fizzy drinks that were also good for your gut.
She took a sip of the coconut water kefir with glee, real and raw tropical flavour bursting through, with the sweetness of the coconut lolling on her tongue. It was the perfect balance of ‘sweet’ and fizz, and as someone who had stomach and bowel issues, she loved how she could drink it without any repurcussions to her poor ol’ belly. It was heaven in a mouthful and she wasn’t the only one to think so.
Packed chock full of live cultures, with an unrivalled depth of taste, the Remedy Kombucha and Remedy Coconut Water Kefir is suitable for vegans like Jasmine, who crave a gut friendly drink on the go. Her friends in particular loved the Apple Crisp and Raspberry Lemonade flavours, claiming that it helped them feel rejuvanated and full of energy. She was pleased they loved her vegan Christmas gift so much.
With the 24 pack containing eight refreshing live-cultured drinks, including Ginger Lemon Kombucha and Cherry Plum, each drink has antioxidants and is naturally free from sugars. While Jasmine couldn’t have the Kombucha due to its caffeine, she relished the coconut water that made her fall in love with coconuts all over again. Before she knew it all her drinks had disappeared as quickly as they had come!

It’s name was ‘Noughty Alcohol Free Sparkling Wine‘, a chardonnay that would bring families together even if they didn’t drink. Christmas might not be the same this year, but at least they could still hold a tipple free sparkling wine toast, even if it was over zoom. One by one they sampled the organic vegan sparkling chardonnay, that had been dealcoholised to retain the rich flavour of its beautifully crafted bottle.
Their verdict? It was exceptional, its elegant pale colour with a crisp and ripe apple scent accompanied by a touch of sweetness. Beautifully paired with a vegan cheeseboard, stuffed olives and crackers, the vegan sparkling wine, sans alcohol, was the perfect ice breaker to start their zoom festive games. It was a hangover free celebration that revelled in promise, and at just 14 calories per glass, it was well worth every sip.
Jasmine’s guests were pleasantly surprised at how it mimicked the taste of alcohol, without them getting drunk. Sourced from sandy and calcareous vineyards located in southern Spain, this 100% organic chardonnay had to be tasted to be believed. And with just 2.9g of sugar per 100ml, it was almost half the sugar content of other non-alcoholic sparkling wines. She couldn’t believe her eyes when she heard the news!

Alcoholic Tipples
Jasmine’s vegan Christmas gift guide was shaping up nicely, and it was alcoholic tipples that came to play next. She toyed with a magical Cranes Gift Set, with three exceptional fruity ciders that melted in her mouth, while stunning festive gin sparkled bright like a diamond. And who could forget the personalized champagne that was calling her name or the vegan trio collection from R & R that lit up with glee?
Cranes
Jasmine had been a fan of Cranes for a while, adoring how their refreshingly natural ciders tasted on a hot summers day, as she gulped thirstily with gusto. But what about during winter, when her guests craved a little something extra in their cider offering? And so she found the Cranes Cider Gift Set, with three premium crafted ciders, available in a gift set with a pint glass for an extra festive touch.
There were Blueberries & Apples, Cranberries and Limes and Raspberries & Pomegranates for Jasmine and her loved ones to enjoy, with 30% fewer calories than brand leaders. She was also thrilled to find out that they were gluten free, suitable for vegans and only had natural recurring sugars, as Cranes only used the natural sweetness of the super fruits in its drinks. The ciders were divine, delectable and desirable.
She knew that this was a vegan Christmas gift that the whole family could enjoy, and not only were the three flavours available on Amazon Prime, but they were also deliciously crisp ciders that any cider lover would enjoy drinking this Christmas. But what of the flavours I hear you ask? The Blueberries & Apples had delightful natural blueberry tones combined with crisp apple flavours and boy was it a treat.
Meanwhile the Raspberries & Pomegranate was sweet and delicious with a distinctive raspberry kick. Refreshing and lucious it was a real crowd pleaser. But best of all was the Cranberries and Limes flavour, a gorgeous crisp cider with unique flavour. The driest of the Cranes range, it was the closest to the taste of a traditional cider. All three were spectacular and she couldn’t wait to drink them all!

Say It With Champers
Jasmine was looking for something truly special for her next gift and felt blessed when she stumbled upon Say It With Champers, a website that not only personalized ‘champagne bottles’ with personal messages chosen by you, but they also had their own vegan champagne too! She was mesmerized at the thought of giving her partner a special champagne bottle, celebrating their second Christmas together.
She couldn’t wait to see his face as he spotted the message that wished the both of them a Merry Christmas, with a cheery festive scene that transported them into a winter wonderland. As someone who loved supporting small businesses she thought this was a truly magificient gift. With personalized champagne labels, inspired by the founder’s wedding 12 years ago, and vegan bubbly to boot, could this be perfection?
Only time would tell, but as she took her first sip she gasped. The vegan champagne was of premium quality, with a fresh and lean style, accentuated with bright apple and lemon notes. She adored how it fizzed langorously in her mouth, giving the champagne more roundness and breadiness that tantalized her tastebuds. Until Dunnet Bay Distillers came to save the day, premium Scottish Spirits infused with authentic flavours. They presented her with a rather special Rock Rose Gin Winter Edition, handcrafted from Christmas trees, that unbelievably gave her mouth a taste of Christmas, in just one sup. She was spellbound.

La Chouffe Gift Pack
Jasmine remembered when people would give her funny looks for ordering beers at a bar, when her boyfriend would sup on cider, but she didn’t care. She loved how beer would make her belly glow with warmth and gave her a fuzzy feeling inside. Most of all she loved how it tasted like honeydew.

From a ‘Funfair Champions Date Night Box’ to a Tuscan Pottery Date Night, she loved how unique each box was, and how she could even purchase a ‘one off box’ to see what the hype was all about. Boy was she excited, but which vegan box would she choose? Would it be the Funfair themed box for a wild evening of competitive fun or would the pottery box stoke the fires of their romantic fairytale the most?
In the end it was the Funfair Champions Date Night Box that stole her heart, reminding Jasmine of her first date with her boyfriend, where he took her to a games themed bar called Loading in Dalston. She wanted to recreate that magic right in the heart of her home, bringing the spirit of the funfair into her room. After all, both her and her partner loved playing games, so what better way to celebrate their love?
They would gulp Soda Folk’s Cream Soda thirstily, surrounded by the colors, sounds and smells of a real fairground, popping popcorn into each other’s mouth. They would giggle at the Carnival kissing booths, sweetening their mouths with candyfloss meringue, sugary sweet. But what about showing off their talents and proving why they were the ultimate champ? The Funfair Games Championship would see to that.
Jasmine’s partner, D, would laugh at her and her competitive spirit, determined to be the winner, because she always won at random games that they would make up on the spot. And so they would put their own creative spin on the games that they played, turning the ultimate bucket list into a game of truth and dare, revved up on the funfair spirit that made their world spin round and round. It was magical.

I have many allergies which make it difficult to be fully vegan sadly, but I don’t wear, use or buy any products that test on animals, and do not wear any animal materials. I went cruelty free a few years ago, and have been vegetarian for over 5 years.
* Side note. Jasmine is my alter ego. It’s what I would name my child, is my Just Eat Name so weird people don’t chat me up and is the character I use when I write dating posts quite often. In short she’s the sassier and more confident version of myself but she’s still me!

I am so in love with this vegan gift guide it is unreal. First of all, the way you write is absolutely stunning, you should write a book! Secondly there are so many amazing brands that you have featured. I love the sound of the rum truffles, the oreo cake, champagne brands and the gift set for couples. The couples funfair box looks amazing, I definitely want that for me and my partner. It looks like so much fun!

Wow – I am speechless. This is one hell of a blog post. I read a lot of diversified blog posts, across many niches, but this is the first time I read a post where the message is communicated through an effective story telling style. The use of the 3rd person in Jasmine, albeit your alter ego, is refreshing.
While the products are not your own, I appreciate your opinions about them. Had you not divulged they were not yours, I wouldn’t have been able to tell – your passion demonstrates that.

Ahh I saw the applewood festive cheese selection in sainsbury’s the other day and it looked so good but I had never tried that brand of vegan cheese before so I didn’t get it. But, after hearing this review, I’ll have to go back and try it! 🙂 Great guide!

This is such an amazing list! Everything looks and sounds delicious. I’m 100% saving this to come back to. I don’t know why but that champagne is just really standing out to me at the moment, probably because I still have 8 weeks before I can drink again lol
