Is it just me who has a touch of a wanderlust this year, in fact all I seem to bang on about these days is 'travel' and how excited I am to finally spread my wings. But that's not necessarily a bad thing is it? Besides, what's a girl to do; after being unlocked from my travel cage of five years, I am finally ready to explore the beauty outside of my 'London Surroundings'. I used to dream as a child of the holidays I would take and the places that I would see; where would I go, what would I experience, who I would meet. I had fantasies of holiday romances that would never be and envisioned myself to be a fictional book heroine, who would adventure to places so far away and discover a world ... read more

As summer draws to a close and autumn peeps through the shadows, my 2017 year of travel is only just beginning. I want to taste the world around me and feel its scent on my lips and drink in the rain that pours over my head. Most of all I want to explore the fruits that this earth has given us; the hidden waterfalls cascading over lush green mountains, the scent of freshly baked bread in rural villages, the seven wonders standing proudly through time.Whether it be a vacation in Indonesia or a trip to the Philippines, there is no doubt that travelling is in my blood. Because it might have lain dormant for 5 years but the beast has awoken and this girl wants her borrowed time back. Next month ... read more
Why I Love To Live In London
One of the things that I love about living in London is how much there is to see and do. From unexpected trips to museums to foraging through breathtaking forests that seem to have come from another world, London offers unlimited possibilities. After moving to London a year ago, I have seen my blog grow from strength to strength but what has surprised me more is how I have grown as a person. I have found myself recapturing my adventurous spirit, that I thought I had lost so long ago and explored a world that I never knew even existed. But without my blog I might never have moved here and for that I am truly grateful. I love how I can still be a tourist in my own city and explore attractions ... read more
A Q&A With Hawthorn About Sustainable Fashion
As a 'cruelty-free blogger' and vegetarian, it is safe to say that I am committed to ensuring no animals are harmed through the purchases that I make, whether that be skincare, make-up or the clothing that I buy. But what if I was to tell you that being 'cruelty-free' is not enough, that we must also look at ways that we can reduce our carbon footprint and promote sustainability. Because the reality is that our clothing contributes to the destruction of our planet, through the way it is manufactured, produced and shipped, which all adds up to air miles and increases emission costs. But there is more to sustainable fashion than just using 'local couriers' to reduce air miles, we must also ... read more

The truth is, even after two years in the blogging industry and a month full time, I am still learning how I too can make my blog gain more traction and despite ' a unique aesthetic' and personable approach to blogging, there is more to 'branding' than meets the eye. Tis the season to splash around and have a whale of a time, for the summer taxi of 'fun' is here to take us on a ride to FUN Central. And what does fun central entail I hear you ask? Freelancing is no easy feat; since quitting my job a month ago I have ripped my hair out, cried, laughed and smiled, all in the space of one day! 5 Ways To Wear Lace This Summer
While lace might have originated in the 16th Century, for me it represents a time period that is a little closer to home- the 90's. Although the 90's is more commonly associated with 'chokers' , 'slip dresses' and double or triple denim, 'lacing' was a common theme throughout 90's fashion. Velvet dresses were often trimmed with Chantilly, while chokers-the most popular 90's accessory- was adorned with latticed lace. Accessories were an integral part of 90's style identity but it is now during 2017, that the expansion and mainstream exposure of lace(s) has become evident. Even royals like Kate Middleton, love wearing royally modest lace, proving lace is a fashion trend that is firmly on the ... read more
I Was Catfished Before MTV Even Made It A Thing
Online dating can be freaking scary, in fact before I tried online dating myself, I was convinced that it was for people who were 'desperate' but I soon realized that wasn't the case. There is this huge stigma around online dating and how we are conditioned into becoming people that we are 'not' all for the sake of preserving normality in the face of others. Which is why when you meet someone in person, you can become disappointed, as we paint visual realities in our heads that don't quite match the person that turns up on your date. Which is maybe why I am still single, but then again I think its more a case of guys being intimidated by my defense wall but that is a story for another ... read more
Faded Spring Talks Business Travel In Singapore
I have always admired bloggers who travel the world and have left their normal lives to go backpacking. While I would imagine myself as being more of a 'tourist' rather than a 'nomad' , I am nevertheless looking forward to travelling to as many countries as possible. I mentioned in previous posts that I would be going to Spain and Tuscany but I have always been fascinated by 'Asian Countries' like Malaysia, specifically Singapore which is a global financial hub, boasts a tropical climate and has a multicultural population that is not too dissimilar to London. My fascination with Asia stemmed from childhood where unlike the peers around me who loved 'British cuisine' I was far more interested ... read more
