Spa & Massage: Deep Tissue Massage
Spa's Are The Best If there is one thing that living in London has taught me, its that stress is only around the corner. I deal with issues like rent, illnesses and mental health on a daily basis and stress causes my body pain. You see, I have scoliosis, hypermobile joints and a dislocated deltoid, all of which leaves me in pain most of the time. The biggest factor is my lack of sleep which leaves me feeling sore and disorientated yet my lifestyle contributes too. I spend hours on my feet or in front of a computer screen, meaning that I do not give my body enough rest, causing knots underneath the skin. Knots feel like stones and if you feel my upper back and neck you would be alarmed to ... read more
The Ice Queen: Extinction Of The North
Ice Queen Picture the scene; its a cold blustery day, where the snow drips down our weary faces. The roast dinner is in the oven and the scent of fresh gingerbread wafts under our noses. The dog barks and the cat mewls, the day turns to the night and the fireplace crackles. The trees sway in the breeze and the revelers drink til' morning comes. In this winter wonderland there is peace and prosperity, but for how long will tranquility last? For there is a dark storm brewing as the skies turn ink black. The laughter stops, the cheers quieten down and the revelers stop drinking- at least for a while. She is here, the Queen who feeds on fear- her season has come and conquered. For she is no ... read more
Why You Should Live Life In The Moment
Live Life Like Each Day Is Your Last It was when I was binge watching episodes of my new favourite TV show that it hit me. When was the last time that I lived life in the moment, like each day was my last? When was the last time that I lived with reckless abandon and felt the wind running through my hair? We all do it, I mean live life as though it was a structured routine. We go to the same places and go to bed at the same time. We bemoan all the things we can't do and make excuses for why life is not going the way that it should be. I have lost count of the amount of times I have made excuses for not being able to go on holiday or go out because of money issues. But it is my own fault, ... read more
Why Legally Blonde’s Elle Woods Is My WCW
If there is anything that Elle Woods taught me, it is the art of 'proving people wrong' and still kicking ass in the fashion stakes. Elle Woods represented a new breed of woman, a revolutionary movie archetype that played into the so called 'dumb blonde' character but proved to be far more intelligent than her peers gave her credit for. Isn't that something we women face on a daily basis, a glass ceiling that is premeditated by so called 'gender constructs'? We are constantly told that we 'cannot' achieve goals to the same standards as men and indeed even movie ceremonies segregate our actors into 'gendered' categories. Yet, despite the obstacles we face on a daily basis, despite what ... read more

Why You Should Never Call Me Skinny
Skinny? Call me slim Growing up I was never the pretty one. Instead I was typecast as the freak who everyone loved to hate on. You see in the precious hierarchy that my school created I didn't fit in. I wasn't popular, had opinions that went against the 'popular kids' code of conduct and worst of all would stick up for the so called losers. Admittedly I wasn't the best at choosing friends but at least I had some semblance of loyalty that others didn't seem to have. In short I was a misfit and I hated it. I hated feeling different and I hated the attention that it gave me. All I wanted to do was blend into the background but instead each day there would be fresh hell to encounter. While ... read more
How A Staycation Boosted My Productivity
Staycation's Can Boost Productivity I Promise! Something had to give, I needed a break and I needed it fast. After working my ass off without much financial gain and churning out endless posts, I needed to re-evaluate my priorities and some time away would do me the world of good. The only issue was how I would fund this 'quick vacation' when I barely had a penny to my name. I quickly looked at holidays abroad and shuddered at the prices; even with the little money I had, I could not afford to vacation outside the UK. I was at my tethers end; feeling sluggish, de-motivated and fatigued could I find the pep in my step? The answer was so simple, what about the 'staycation' I had heard so ... read more
How River Island Helped Me Embrace Small Boobs
I have never been what you might call 'busty' and am in fact the opposite. From a young age I have had small breasts and it always bothered me. I remember a Year Six PE class, where I was being teased for hiding my breasts. My own friends would laugh and tell me that I didn't need to hide my chest 'because I was as flat as an ironing board'. It used to bother me immensely and when I saw my friends with larger breasts and curvier bodies I would get upset. I grew up in an era where being 'slim' and not 'curvy' would typecast me as a 'boy' instead of a 'woman' or girl. It really (excuse the pun) got on my tits when I was told that I was not 'womanly' enough to be considered as 'feminine'. I ... read more
2016 Is Over Lets Say Hello To 2017
In the chaos that was 2016, there was a glimmer of hope like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Through despair I found solace in blogging; writing became my refuge and escape from real life. I am sure I am not alone in stating that writing kept me sane during the political aftermath of Brexit and made me stronger in the wake of 2016's deaths. We lost many greats this year, Alan Rickman, David Bowie, Prince and I lost loved ones too. As the frost begins to settle and the leaves turn to a crisp, loved ones lay in eternal slumber. Gone but never forgotten. While there were many negative events in 2016, 2017 promises to be a better year. 2017 signals a new beginning, a time to turn over a ... read more
