Florals are always in season, regardless of what time of year it is. I don’t know whether it is because we want to look attractive to bees, who think we are massive flowers and want to impregnate us ( I joke) or because it reminds us of summer, but regardless of the reason, florals are always a safe bet. Instead of reaching for your trusty floral maxi, step up your tailoring game and find a fitted jumpsuit (or in my case find a jumpsuit that is clearly too small for you but you don’t want to get rid of it because its beautiful) that hugs your figure and creates a curvaceous silhouette. Keep accessories to a minimal, to draw focus to the jumpsuit and finish with a winning smile, that you will plaster on your face for the next 8 hours or so.

So get your inner mermaid on fleek and sprinkle some sequins (or glitter) into your life and get dancing. The great thing about a ‘slip dress’ is you are probably going to flash your pants, but that’s ok noone will notice because they will be too busy getting stunned by your sparkling sequins, so dance to your little hearts content. 3. The Beach Party Dress
Chances are, your ready and loaded for a big summer drink sesh, and the only worthy destination is the beach of course. But there are no ballgowns allowed here, after all, unless you want to look like an alien from out of space, beach wear only right? Still I don’t know about you but I am not really fond of showing up to a party in a bikini, unless I was auditioning for Love Island – which I’m not- so a ‘beach party dress’ seems like the next viable option. Go nautical with a striped maxi sundress and pair with some beautiful heeled sandals which are so not practical for the beach. Oh well, come on this is me, I am always overdressed, but that’s ok I like being me. Okay I no I said no ballgowns, but come on, you got to have at less one show stopper in your summer occasion wear wardrobe right? And props to you mama, if its pretty in pink! This summer, pastels reign as supreme as ever, so why not get your hands on this sexy mother f***er of a pink dress and get pulses racing, with its ruched sweetheart neckline and split leg tailoring. Be careful though, you probably wouldn’t want to get drunk in this kind of dress, as satin tends to stain very easily. So go easy on that bottle of red. Luckily I like mojitos so no worries there.

5. The Kinda Appropriate For Summer Look Minus The Jacket
Okay, I know that strictly speaking faux fur is not something you should be rocking in summer. Then again I live in the UK, which is famed for its ridiculously temperamental weather. One minute its cold, next minute its so warm, thus the ‘transitional’ sense of style that I am most commonly associated with influences my ‘occasion wear wardrobe’ too. Shorts and a bodysuit as shown above, are great choices for a clubbing night out, while the shorts mean that you can do the splits, do high kicks or whatever else you can do and not have to explain to your mother, why there are 20 pictures of you on Facebook with your hooh-hah out and you were too drunk to notice. So if you are known for your ‘wild antics ‘ on a night out and are praying for a miracle where you don’t flash yourself to everyone you meet, then get your hands on a pair of sparkly or metallic shorts . You see, you can still look fancy and have a good time. Who said that dreams can’t come true?

Yes I too am guilty of mixing some autumn/winter attire with summer separates but Ana as I’m living in the country next to you …Ireland then you can understand why we too can never depend on our summer which sometimes consists of a few days of sunshine….so I say roll out the faux fur….Ha HA!

And you do look amazing in that show-stopping pink dress. I imagine that you would take people’s breath away. I know I could never pull off the sequins, and would really never want to, but you do look amazing in that too. My summer wear, especially as it gets so hot here, is mostly about comfort. So T-shirts, and jeans. Maybe a suit jacket if I am going out somewhere more formal. But it’s just too hot to try to put on too much.
