Out of frugality came Firmoo, the most popular discounted online eye-wear brand in the United States. After years of expertise in the optical industry, the founders of Firmoo conducted a survey to evaluate the efficiency of the optical industry in the US to glean what changes the optical industry needed to target its consumers more effectively. One of the predominant inefficiencies that Firmoo found was that there was a divide between retail costs and consumers costs which left customers paying $100's when retailers made them for significantly less money. With customers being pushed into buying prescription glasses and sunglasses because of its 'label' Firmoo understood that a change needed ... read more

Replay Stone Review
Perfume has always been a central part of my lifestyle and helps me feel more complete, confident and above all alive with every spritz. To me perfumes are spiritual and at the core essence of every human being. Our attraction to scents is nothing new, refined by the Roman's, Persian's and Arab's perfume became an emblem for wealth; incense based perfumes lacked the refined iconic scent of steam distilled perfumes but by the 18th century distilled perfumes were used worldwide. Scent consiuners delighted in cooking up new concoctions and were inspired by sixth century Arabian recipes which preserved musk, amber and jasmine as part of religious purification ceremonies. Today perfume trade ... read more
It’s Ok To Not Be Perfect
Why do we feel the need to put on a front? Is it because we are too scared to reveal our real selves, terrified that they won't like the person behind the mask? I find it hard to be honest with who I am as a person and reinvented myself for university to protect myself from my wounded shell of reality. All the scars had to be hidden, the battle wounds of the past locked up in the safe of my mind and in person I was a hyperactive ball of energy, the life of the party and always the person you could count on 'for a laugh'. But this wasn't me I tried to compensate for my imperfections by reinventing a 'perfect persona' I could not could not keep up with and it was exhausting. Because if I did ... read more
New Chic Wishlist
I have been blogging six months now and am so incredibly proud of what I have acheived and the people and companies that I have met along the way have helped me become a better blogger. I have a strong ethos to promote brands that are as of yet under the radar and deliver 'fast quality fashion' at reasonable prices so when New Chic contacted me to review their products I was more than happy to write a detailed, honest review in exchange for lust-worthy products. I was wary at first. A similar company who I reviewed last year [ Read HERE] sent items that barely resembled the products in the photos and were 'fast' 'cheap' but not high quality. To be fair I understand it was cheap but ... read more
Stop Online Abuse
As I write this I am sobbing, depressed and feeling isolated from the blogging community. When I joined the blogging community I did so to connect and meet online bloggers but as of late I have received nothing but abuse and it hurts like hell. I have been called horrible names, been accused of doing things I have not done, recieved negative comments and been told that I deserve to die and should have never existed. Do you know how much it hurts to be told you are worthless, be told that your ugly and that my blog is shit simply because I stood my ground and fought for what I believed in? I don't care if my opinions are controversial because to be honest I don't care anymore, blogging is not ... read more
International Women’s Day
The struggle torwards achieving gender parity has been tultomous and worldwide women have been exploited, degraded and treated unfairly. But this is wrong; women should have the same rights and be treated the same as men because we all have a purpose on this earth to fulfil and that is to change the world that we live in. Throughout the centuries women have fought for equality and questioned the cultural, political, economical, religious and social structures that stratified society to view women as 'inferior' leading to countless worldwide movements. Elizabeth I fought to be viewed to be mens equal leading troops into war, Anne Boleyn influenced the Reformation movement and Mary ... read more
Lets Talk About Rose Gold: Wishlist
Everyone who knows me is aware of my obsession with rose gold and that obsession grew out of scrolling through posts on Instagram where rose gold seemed to be the flavour of the month. From watches to mobile phones delicate rose gold was flooding my feed and I was living for it. There is something so classically elegant and timeless about rose gold that you can't help but fall in love every time you see it. At least that was my reasoning and to date I have rose gold rings, necklaces, bangles, shoes and clothes but there is always room in my wardrobe for more rose gold. It is like the saying goes 'you can never have too much rose gold'! In fact the amount of times I mention rose gold in this ... read more

Friday Lookbook: Monochrome
Classic, timeless and quintessentially British the monochrome trend has been popular since the introduction of Chanel's Little Black Dress in 1926 which transformed the connotations surrounding the colour black. Previously black was reserved for funerals and the re-introduction of black as a staple everyday colour cemented its superstar status. But it wasn't until the 1960's that the monochrome trend took off ; the era of 'op art' was famed for breaking all the fashion rules and the emergence of 'Mod Culture' saw teens and adults alike wearing monochrome as a rebellion against 'colour clashes', geometric prints and bright clothing. The 60's was responsible for making black and white a ... read more
Living Life To The Full
'I will die tomorrow but I will die happy, I will die knowing that I grabbed life by the horns, In death I will remain a warrior, a pillar of strength, Death cannot change who I am for the worse, Dying is like reaching enlightenment- there will be light, Let down your guard and give me control of my own destiny, For I want to die on my own terms- take that death' I was struck by how full of life he was, he didn't want pity and above all lived life like he could die tomorrow. And that is the sad thing, he could because G suffers with Motor Neurone disease. It is very rare that sufferers survive longer than two years and G was diagnosed a year ago.
