‘ Summer solstice and a million butterflies, flitting swarms of natures finest, Honeysuckle and lemon peekaboo between trees, softly buzzing bees feed at their breast,Jugs of wine and wedding dresses, a splash of crimson on white lace,A thousands echoes of laughter and cheer, the mother looks on with dewy eyes,Twenty tears intermingle as one, salt mixed with honey equals sadness and joy,The sermon begins at one with nature, true loves first kiss swallowed by the bride,Til death do us part may no man cheat, through the infinity war true love still exists’
The concept of true love is almost mythical in its context, with the divorce rate being at 47% it can be difficult to believe that true love is around the corner. That being said reading tales of husband and wife dying in each others arms because they cannot live without each other is heartrending and makes me believe that somewhere out there is a soulmate waiting to ride with me into the sunset. But a girl can only dream and while I don’t plan on getting married anytime soon, I have a few friends weddings coming up that I need inspiration for and who better than Debenhams? The ultimate connoisseur of ‘Bridal, Occasion and Formal Wear’, Debenhams is a leading international brand founded by William Hall in 1778. A mix of international and British orientated pieces make up Debenhams showstopping bridal collections and it is their unique celebration of British patriotism infused with cutting edge international trends that makes Debenhams the ideal venue to shop wedding, bridesmaids and guests dresses as well as accessories that will transform you into a budding bloom. The trend of the moment is the ubiquitous floral motif which has been popular since its surge in prominence in the 1950’s. Timeless, trend orientated and flattering the staple hero print has inspired Debenhams latest wedding collection and correlates with my own personal style ethos. To me wearing floral is not only timeless but it is a positivity booster too. Florals reminds me of warmer weather where the bees are suckling at the ripening flowers and wedding season comes knocking at our door. The wedding frenzy might be officially here but do not panic because me and Debenhams have the occasion wear for any wedding guest or bride.
