Summer Party Venue Ideas

February 9, 2017

Welcome to Faded Spring’s Summer Party Venue Ideas Guide, your one stop shop for all things summer. There is nothing I love better than to feel the sea breeze on my skin and feel the gentle waves lapping at my toes. But for some, going to the beach is inconvenient and at times a ‘hyped-up reality’, after all does anyone really love the feel of squelchy sand? Okay well maybe I do but I digress, you might love going to the beach but last time I attempted throwing a beach party, I got told off and noone likes a frowny authority officer yelling in their face. Plus not to mention feeling sticky and frying in the heat is not my idea of fun and I would much rather go swimming but for some that just isn’t an option. And what happens if you wanna make this beach party ‘evening approved’, how are you meant to dress up on the freaking beach? Because lets face it, I love going to the beach but I am sure as hell not going to wear a gown on a beach. Perhaps a half and half look-half bikini top, half ballgown skirt might work but then again I might just look like an absolute twit. But anyway where was I, ah yes the land of all things mermaids, just because you have been banned from attending another beach party, does not mean that you can’t bring the beach to you!

<img src=ana.jpg" alt="ana green mermaid dress motel rocks">

My love for all things mermaid ‘ is unparalleled but what if I were to tell you that there were large summer party venues in London that could make those fantasies come true? Confused, well not any more because thanks to the helpful mermaids over at VenueSeeker, they have created a handy directory of summer party venues that are guaranteed to give you a taste of that ‘summer lovin’ (and yes sue me that was a Grease reference).

Paperworks

Best Suited To Those Who Like Their Summers Like They Like Their Partners- Simple

If you have ever been to Camden Market, then you will know that there is nothing more evocative of summer than a beautiful ‘pop up stall’. Well times that by a million and you have Paperworks, a South London pop up space where you can soak up some good ol’ Vitamin D, sip on a mojito and enjoy some of London’s greatest street food. So yes it might not be your typical ‘posh’ wine and dine affair and quite frankly this suits me down to a T. No dresscode, no inhibitions just a freaking fantastic night with friends, strangers and oh maybe a lil’ more! Imagine meeting your future prince, slurping an ice cold beer, belching away and not giving two f**ks, yep that’s my kinda dude.

but… and its a big but, while summer parties are usually pared down affairs and I love nothing more than lounging in the sun rocking a good ol’ jumpsuit there is always a big part of me that craves a more formal summer adventure. While Jasmine (my alter ego- and the name I give guys who I don’t like) is down with the kids and a little more relaxed, the other me -Ana- likes to dress up in her finest gown, even if that gown looks like it has been plucked straight out of the sea. Lo and behold number two, Cutty Sark.

<img src="ana.jpg" alt="ana sequin green dress motel rocks">

Cutty Sark

Best Suited To Mermaids That Don’t Like To Get Their Hair Wet

Its a beautiful summers night and  your shimmering gown (or suit) glistens under the soft glow of a moonlight sky. You and the other mermaids/mermen climb aboard the 19th century vessel and are transported into a world where modern technology ceases to exist. Internet is but a distant murmur in the future and the dramatic view of the waterline below is enough to convince you that this mer-fantasy is a reality. For one night only, you too can be part of history and entertain guests in a summer party to remember, without having to get your hair wet. Only question is, what music will you play to please your fellow mer-people?

Maybe mermaids aren’t really your thing and you’d much rather have a summer party doing crazy golf, don’t worry girls and boys Mama Ana’s got her summer party venue idea generator a’brewing.

Plonk Crazy Golf

Best suited To The Person Who Pretends They Are Not Competitive When They Are

I was never one to join in when it came to crazy golf, then again I can’t aim for s**t and sport is not really my thanggg. But what I do love is watching how competitive people get during crazy golf so what better way to kick off the start of summer than a themed crazy golf experience? Not to mention the course is portable and made from reclaimed materials so whats not to love. Plus ramps, jumps, secret tunnels and a volcano? You can count me in, even if it is just for the s**t and giggles.

Maybe your a little more old school and mermaids, crazy golf and all things sea related gives you the judders. Perhaps you see yourself as a modern Anne Boleyn (ahem me), waltzing through London, clutching pearls to your chest. No worries at all, thou shalst make merry this summer at The Tower Of London.

<img src="ana.jpg" alt="ana faded spring sequin dress motel rocks">

Pavilion At The Tower Of London

Best Suited To Those Who Like A Slice Of History With Their Cake

When it comes to summer parties, history might be nothing but a distant reminder of secondary school classes, where the only history you were learning was who snogged who. For others -again me- you love nothing better than curling up with a history book and recounting eras bygone. But how on earth dear Ana does that relate to summer? Well, surely one of the most iconic symbols of London is The Tower of London and what better way to have your cake and eat it against the backdrop of London’s most notorious historical events? Who said history was boring ey?

For some, nothing screams summer more than a nosy at some of London’s finest art galleries, whether that be modern or old. If you fancy yourself as a socialite who eats Picasso in the morning, drinks Warhol midday and sups on Cubism in the eve, then Saatchi gallery is the one for you

Saatchi Gallery

Best Suited To The Modern Socialite Who Eats Art For Breakfast

I have been to many an art gallery myself and while my attempts to draw will make a four year old’s drawing a masterpiece, I can’t deny that I do appreciate art. I mean look at my blog for Pete’s sake, its covered in street art. So if like me you like to brush up on your culture, even in the summer then head over to the wondrous Saatchi Gallery, for a summer night to remember.

So there you have it, 5 glorious large summer party venues for all those vitamin D lovers, go on what are you waiting for? Lets get ready to par-tayyy!

    I can’t believe you already have summer parties on your mind. Well, who wouldn’t? All this freezing cold makes me long for hot summer days too! The places you listed are really nice venues for parties. I wish I lived in London to be able to go to those places though.

    I love how you’re already thinking about summer! I’m not sure about this Cutty Sark business though haha, I loved the Cutty Sark and would just worry about something getting destroyed at a party lol. It’s wonderful that they restored it after the fire though, and I bet if I was less neurotic I’d have a wonderful time. xx
