An Ode To Kesha 'Why won't you believe me? Because I am a woman? Because my words count for nothing when a mans word is law? Can't you see my tears, dripping salt upon my coarse weathered cheeks? What do you want from me? Are you intent on making my life a living hell, watching me suffer because it pleases you to do so? Your fucked up, you know that don't you? I am not your first and I wont be your last but I will use every waking moment to make sure you pay for what you did to me. And pay you will, as long as I live and have an ounce of breath in my body I will fight to get the justice that I and millions of other women deserve'. And there is nothing you can do about it' As Kesha ... read more

I Am A Blogger Because…
When I first started blogging friends and family were in two minds; some loved the idea of me being a blogger and thought that it was an automatic gateway to success while others saw it as a hobby and did not take it and me seriously. Blogging is often given a negative representation in the media as an occupation that automatically gives you money, fame and freebies when the reality couldn't be any further from the truth. I clawed my way from the bottom and I am still nowhere near the top but nor do I intend to be. I am not fame hungry, am disinterested in putting other bloggers down to further my success and I will always have my friends backs and that is not going to change just because I ... read more
Why I Am Staying Single This Valentines Day
'Wounded hearts in mournful symphony, Soft spoken caresses like daggers to the heart,Hearts a-breaking in untimed unison, Fresh salted tears falls into grit and torture,Red puffy eyes no more, Smiles all round its a new year, Freshly picked optimism in a bed of blossoming roses, Friends a-laughing and chuckling with glee, For we may be single this year but who cares? For so many years I let myself be mistreated and abused simply because I thought I had done something wrong. I put up with name calling, physical abuse and bullying because I didn't know my own self worth. I despised who I was and being in a relationship or a friendship with an abuser/ bully felt like the norm to me ... read more
January Recap
As we enter the sphere of love and leave January behind it is time to reminise, rejoce and celebrate the achievements that the gifts of January gave us. Welcoming in the new year I was so thankful for all the love and support I had been given during my time as a blogger and was looking forward to seeing what 2016 would bring me and boy was I surprised. January was an excellent month for blogger achievements including an increase in traffic and followers across all social platforms and my very first sponsored post which was on 'How To Find A Photographer' and you can read more about that below. But my personal life was in tatters and my health on the decline. For those of you who do not ... read more
Dreaming Of Another Tomorrow
Another Tomorrow 'Dreaming of another tomorrow I stumble into a new world where hope exists, No more children caught in the trap of injustice, no more bereft adults with empty stomachs, I sit and ponder at the lake of social change where fish metamorphose into greedy politicians, They sit with their hands rubbing in glee, pulling puppets left right and centre and bending them to their will, Is there freedom? No they cry? Social absolution? Definitely not? Equality between men and women? Hell no. But the winds are changing and their plots are discovered, the people revolt-freedom for all they chant with their heads held high- against the greedy fish-men, Plucked and ... read more
Why I Became A Social Justice Advocate
I have made no bones about the fact that I have been through testing hardships that have affected me both mentally and physically and that is partly why I represent minority voices who have been supressed by their national state system or even their peers. I want to be the voice of our next generation that inspires people to speak up and share their life experiences without fear of judgement because in my world freedom of speech is neccessary. There are economies who are stratified through rigid dictatorship whereby human rights are violated and the power of the government overshadowed the civilians cries for help. I want to change that. For those who don't know me or are new readers I was ... read more
My Year In Review
Life Is Not Fair If You Are A Grown Up 'Smiling faces pressed against steaming windows, Gurgling children in a euphoric trance, Children playing, adults crying, Life is not fair when you are a grown up, Endless payments on empty stomachs, Starving families lost in a hunger induced bubble, Children squealing, adults groaning, Life is not fair when you are a grown up' It has been an amazing five months and I cannot thank my loyal 'Lil Springbots' enough. Thank you for supporting me through this incredible journey and showing me the best version of myself that I could be. It took me many years to become a blogger but I have been following blogs since I was sixteen, admiring their ... read more
My First Christmas
Christmas Cheer 'I can see my past burning in the sharp crackle of the fire, I can see my happiness return back to me in the sweet light of the Christmas tree, I can see the children playing outside, making snow angels in the snow, I can see the promise of a brighter future in a steaming cup of chocolate, I am awake in the soft gentle caress of Christmas cheer, I am awake in the spirit of the festive season, I am awake in pursuit of the truth, I am the Truth' For years Christmas was a dismal affair, my biological family believed that spending should be cut to a minimum and that Christmas was a normal occasion with little cause for celebration. At the age of six it was a ... read more
Body Image In The Catwalk Industry
Imperfect Beauty ' Distortion of beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Some call me fat, some call me skinny, Big or small we are attacked for having flaws But flaws are what makes us unique, Made in the image of perfection we fall short but there is beauty in imperfection and our flaws are what makes us beautiful' Throughout the course of history societies perception of body image has altered in accordance to cultural and political customs of the time. In 1850 a full figure was deemed as 'healthy' and clothing was altered to give off the illusion of bigger buttocks and breasts whereas a slim figure was viewed as unhealthy. By the 21st century an extreme approach to dieting and ... read more
November Recap
Sacrifice 'Howling jackals clawing at bark, piercing screams as their throats are slit, Crying children wiping salty tears, sleepless nights crying out for love, Love and sacrifice go hand in hand, the future is bleak if there are no wise humans in it' This month I published an incredible 16 posts and considering I work two other jobs and write posts between 900 and 1200 words it is quite an impressive feat. November earnt the most traffic in the four and half months that I have been blogging and that is a target that I am hoping to beat in December. I want to thank my 'Lil Springbots' for the incredible journey that I have been on so far and am truly grateful that you have been ... read more
